The Environment

LIS recognises that it has a responsibility to ensure that all reasonable efforts are taken to implement and maintain an Environment Management System policy for LIS offices, workforce, products and services that mitigate risk to the environment.

The company will, so far is reasonably practicable, pay particular attention to:

• Meet all statutory requirements for environmental protection, applicable to LIS activities.
• Strive for cost-effective continual improvement in its overall environmental performance.
• Improve the environmental awareness of its employees.
• Consider the action of the Environmental Policy of our suppliers when placing orders, when applicable.
• Promote energy efficiency and savings, and minimise the usage of ozone depleting substances.
• Reduce the volume of waste disposed of via landfill sites etc, LIS adopts the three “R’s” principal, Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle.
• Ensure that premises occupied maintain rigid standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
• Work towards ISO 14001, by adopting best practice techniques.
• Monitor the Environmental policy through the Audit process under ISO9001:2000.
